Shauna is a twenty three year old recent college graduate, a beautiful woman of mixed black and white ethnicity. Shortly after finishing her bachelor's, she is contacted by a lawyer who informs her that she is the sole heiress of a decaying lighthouse and decent chunk of property out in rural, coastal Massachusetts. Intrigued by the idea of leaving the city and living in isolation near the sea, she jumps at the opportunity to move into her newly acquired home.

However, something is wrong. As time moves on, Shauna begins to feel as though she is being watched. Strange visions of a ghostly figure begin to appear before her. A dark apparition in the shape of a man and a were-beast begin to stalk her property. Just when she is at her wits' end and under the impression that she is about to lose her mind, something unexpected happens and she is confronted by the very thing that she had been afraid of: a snarling, wild figure that shifts into the gorgeous, ethereal Cillian Ahearne.
